Now having the car here in chicago, we wholeheartedly agree with his assessment. Exterior: looking at the color codes on the vin tag under the hood, the car was originally pearl white with red interior. Now, fifty years later, the car wears teal metallic paint with tan interior. While they couldn’t be farther apart, both are excellent color combos. Metallic has a nice deep sparkle to it under direct light. Paint is the textbook definition of a ten-footer. Looks phenomenal from ten feet away, but under close inspection has some faults. There’s some bubbling around the driver’s side headlight, as well as a handful of rock chips and light scratches scattered around the car. Chrome is very nice throughout; front and rear bumper appear to be new, as does the chrome trim around the lights. Front grille has some dings in it. Lights are all intact and functional, roll up windows all track well, and glass is all clear and crack-free, with the exception of a tiny nick on the lower windshield. Wheels are in nice shape; there are some very light dings on a couple of the chrome hubs, but no curb rash. Interior: we really like the interior of these cars, they’re ergonomically perfect. The driving position provides good visibility, and the placement of the gear lever feels just right. Brake pedal and accelerator are perfectly staggered and close, making for some great downshifting. Another thing we really like about the interior of this car is the rubber floormats in place of carpeting. This just adds to the “driver” nature of the car, hop in with muddy shoes and don’t think twice about it. With the exception of the leather dash cover peeling up off the metal dash, the interior is in very nice shape. Tan leatherette seats are comfortable and free of any scratches, scuffs, or tears. Both front and rear seats are very nice, but the rears are so mint they look to have never seen use. White headliner is tight and in as-new condition. Original steering wheel is in nice shape. Gauges are all functional. The original radio remains in place, though there is a kenwood kdc152 mounted below the dash, quinn speakers sound great. Wipers, lights, and fan are all functional. No air conditioning. Doors open and close without any fuss. Under the hood / underbody: this is where this car really shines. First off, it’s in excellent shape underneath. Having been in the dry, no-salt state of north dakota, the car hasn’t suffered from rust issues. Please take a good look through the underbody photos – there isn’t even surface rust to note. I continuously say that this car is a “driver”…. It’s truly a blast to drive. The car starts right up, idles cool, shifts buttery smooth, and stops very well. It’s surprisingly peppy too; while the car was originally equipped with the somewhat anemic b18 motor, the car now runs a fuel-injected b20, which was a larger, more powerful evolution of the b18 first introduced in 1969. Odometer reads 40,654 miles, though the motor is not original to the car. Overall, this is an interesting car with serious charm. It truly needs to be driven to be understood and appreciated. I cannot stress how good this car feels on the road. The smiles-to-dollars ratio is strong. Air Conditioning

For sale is my 1967 volvo amazon 122s. This car has a 4 corner 7 switch air ride system installed minus the front bags everything is ran plumbed and operational i just have not installed the front bags yet. Air ride: twin air compressor, 5 gallon tank 5 port, pressure gauge on tank, pressure shut off switch, master power shut off switch installed under dash (see pic), 7 switch controller, professional solenoid/air manifold setup with 1/2'' valves 3/8 lines, twin dual needle air gauges up front (dash) slambag bags installed in the rear with factory 4 link setup. Front bags not installed but will come with the car. Body: needs rockers and fenders or drive as is as. That's what i do, there are a couple of small holes in front floor that need fixed at some point. They are currently covered by the sound deadener a rust hole in the rh wheel well (see trunk picture.) other than the usual 122 rust issues i've mentioned overall the body is really straight, paint has a lot of character too. Brakes: new front/rear hoses, front rotors/pads, rear drums/shoes, rear wheel cylinders, front calipers, master cylinder and all new hardware. Brakes are all newclutch: new master cylinder, hose, flywheel was deglazed clutch disc had plenty of material on it leftelectrical: upgraded too a gm 1 wire high output chrome alternator, new battery 3 mo old, new headlights, tailights, instrument lights, horns (2) battery cables, and much moredistributor changed to electronic, new coil, wires, plugs, cap/rotorcooling: new aluminum water pump, aluminum radiator, all hoses replaced, thermostat 160 degree, fan belt, block and head was hot tanked, new coolant. Suspension/steering: new.. Upper/lower ball joints lh/rh (4), inner/outer tie rods, pit man arm bushing is upgraded to brass bushing, front/rear sway bar bushings (polyurethane) replaced/upgraded, new drag link and ends(4) new tiresnew carrier bearing and isolator (driveshaft)exhaust is not new but, has been fixed where needed and is strait 1 7/8'' pipe all the way out back fuel: tank striped/cleaned and redkote sealer installed. New fuel pump hose and filter, (2) new volvo air cleaners both su carburetors where completely cleaned and master overhaul kits where installed carbs where tuned/synchronized. Engine completely new/rebuilt top to bottom front to back! Less than 2000 miles since rebuild. Forged connecting rodsnew std. Pistons/rings block was well in spec. Oil pumpp1800 b20 c grind performance camshaft/liftersvalve job preformed new springs seal retainersnew std. Rod,main,and cam bearingsall new gasketsrear main seal was upgraded to a modern seal using custom adapter (no more rear main leaks)rocker tips resurfacedblock and head: hot tanked, magnafluxed, and thoroughly cleanedinterior: has some tears and repairs see pics, good daily driver interior. Sold as is where is no warranties expressed or implied. Any questions please feel free to ask. For sale locally as well. Up for sale is this nice survivor 1967 volvo amazon 122s 4-door sedan. I am a volvo collector and this is one of two 122's that i own (the other is a '67 122 wagon). I am selling this one to make room in my garage for another volvo classic car that i recently acquired. It was finally taken out of storage in 2016 after the death of the original owner, it was refurbished, made road-worthy and has been used as a weekend car since. I get lots of smiles at my local cars & coffee. As a result the frame/floor shows areas of previous rust repair. My mechanic says it is solid, safe and road worthy and the next owner can simply leave it as-is or do a more comprehensive and cosmetic repair later (see photos). Also, both front fenders have what looks like the measles... Small dots where the paint has lifted. There is one area above the wheel well under the trunk mat where there is a 2 x 2 area of rust through (see photo). The paint is otherwise very nice overall... A few small areas of lift and a paint crack near the trunk. The interior is all original and immaculate. Nice headliner, seats, door panels and door pockets. It appears the dash cover was replaced earlier and appears like-new. All glass is excellent and windows go up and down as they should. The speedo was replaced recently and operates. The odometer is not working and shows 51,000 miles. Best guess from previous owner and the title states 158,000 actual miles. The heat works like a blow torch. The temperature gauge occassionally does not work. Fuel gauge is operable. The original bendix-volvo am-fm radio lights up but is not sending sound to the front and rear speakers. It was working last year so i suspect a wiring issue. The bumpers appear to have been previously re-chromed and now have a few small spots of pitting. Photo's show two different wheel caps... The car is being sold with the 4 original wheel covers with black inserts (see photos). The famous volvo b18 workhorse engine starts right up (choke) and idles smoothly. The clutch works fine and the 4-speed manual transmission shifts smootly (there is no overdrive). The brakes just had the master cylinder rebuilt and brakes bled this month. There is a brake booster in the car but it was disconnected by a prior owner. It means the brakes need a little harder foot pressure but it stops reliably with not a lot of effort. I would be confident driving this car cross-country but would really recommend trailering if over 500 miles. I will answer any email inquiries promptly to the extent of my somewhat limited mechanical knowledge. AM/FM

This car is a blast to drive. This car fires right up and runs, drives, and shifts great. I have drove this car all around and it gets a lot of looks. It just cruises down the road very nicely. The miles show 21k and since it is a 5-digit odometer there is no way to tell for sure what the original miles are. All i know is the car is clean and it runs great. Make sure to watch the video i do a complete walk around of the car inside and out and even take it on a test drive. It is white in color and the paint is very nice on this car. It has a nice shine to it and looks like it was parked in a garage most of the time. The body on this car is straight as can be. I like all the black accents on the car especially on the front grill it really makes it unique. There is a lot of chrome on the car that is in good condition and just shines in the sun. It has the factory chrome wheel covers that show almost no road wear and look great on the car. It has a nice set of federal tires that i would say have at least 80% tread life left. Options: 4-speed manual transmission 4cyl. Engine spare tire books and manuals the interior is very nice on this car. The tan seats look great. The front seats show hardly any wear at all and there is no rips or tears in them anywhere. The back seats don't look like they were hardly ever sat in. There is no carpets but it does have the rubber flooring that is just as nice as it gets. This car is all original and somebody really took care of it over the years. Don't miss out on this car.
