The truck has new front coilovers, rear axle flip with new shocks, new radiator fan, shifter bushings, corrado front seats, new steering wheel and hub, clear, red, clear tail lights, new front grill, turn signals and headlights, New wheels15x8 et20 with new tires, Comes with a spare set of vw wheels and tires, passenger seat and various spare parts. 1981 Volkswagen pickup Odometer reads 139k but it's seems it has stopped working. Needs front floor pans, gas tank has a small leak, under the hood has a few rust spots and will need a new cluster

Well, I drove it back a couple years ago and this has been my beloved car, a loyal daily driver and long haul trucker. This has a 1.9L non-turbo diesel engine, more powerful than the original 1.6L (I affectionately call this my sports car). This has a 1.9L diesel engine which gives it way more pickup than the standard 1.6L

Dealerid=471615options:description:vw has always chased trends and when they entered the pickup market in 1980 in the usa it was with a very economical and inexpensive pickup based on the rabbit platform and sported a diesel engine with a 4spd transmission that could reach highway speeds and sip the fuel. With about 75k sold in the 4 years it was distributed in the usa it was determined that it was not the best idea of the vw execs had hoped for. This very nice two owner “caddy” is in remarkable shape for its age and the fact that most of these were abused, neglected and then junked. This truck was sold new in houston texas out of mahan volkswagen to robert goodwin in sugarland texas on october 15th 1982 and represented the last pickup the dealer sold and may have been one of the few left over on dealers lots in that year. It then was sold to a owner in florida before resting in the hands of the current owner out of chicago. Vehicle has been always well cared for and was given the proper service and attention it deserved and not being exposed to the winter conditions that many fell prey to. Vehicle carries some nice features; sliding rear window, leather seats, pioneer stereo, a/c, 14in period correct gti wheels, and proper factory equipment. Vehicle only shows 85k miles and recent service includes; rebuilt injector pump by bosch, all fresh fluids, and new timing belt done. Vehicle comes with some records, original owner’s manual/service book, shop manuals and many extra parts. This car can only go up in value as lesser vehicles are bringing more money.
