Most of the gto fanatics realize that 1967 turned the goat into a whole new beast. They simple don't make cars as extraordinary specimens like these anymore. This is a very rare extremely desirable highly documented goat including the broadcast card and the pontiac historical society documents to prove that this unmolested gto was ordered exactly as it appears in this auction. Located at 525 forest avenue in portland, maine straight from that dealership. This sale also includes the original owners manual and the new owner protect-o-plate. He had always kept the car in his garage and treated his pride and joy like the work of art that these cars have become. I will explain everything i found out from the previous owner at the point of purchase. This goat is in very good condition and does have the original numbers matching 400/335hp gto engine. The car only had one repaint somewhere in the 1980's. The paintwork is a little faded, but still shows well as seen in the pictures. If the new owner desires to bring this car up to the next level i would recommend a nice paint job. Although the patina in the paint makes this a very nice drivers quality condition car that can be driven around proudly just that way it is. The prior owner told me that this car had never been in any accidents and i believe him. I scrutinized this entire car and saw no signs of it ever being hit, and believe all of the body panels to be original to this car. The odometer is believed to have rolled over just once and shows 9366 miles. This original gto 400/335 horsepower cubic inch engine in this goat is as close to the way it rolled out of the factory on to the showroom floor as far as i can tell. The quadrajet 4-barrel carburetor has been rebuilt and there is a newer alternator. Needless to say this gto starts right up and runs great. This goat has factory power steering and handles wonderfully. Both doors open and close like when this car was brand new in 1967. The bucket seats and console as well as the entire interior are in very nice original condition as shown in the pictures. These original bucket seats still have the original factory seat belts in place. The original am radio is currently not hooked up. I left the stereo decision up to the new owner. The dash pad is pristine with no imperfections. The convertible top was replaced with a brand spanking new white convertible top canvas and rear window about a year ago, so that should last for many years to come. The power top dash switch is only working in the up position right now. It may be due to the cold weather, so that will need to be looked into by the new owner. I had the entire undercarriage sandblasted and painted satin black about a year ago. New rear body bushings were installed at that time. The floors and frame are all in very good condition. The inside of trunk floor was coated with ac delco black and aqua spatter spray to make it appear factory correct. The trunk has a jack, crow bar, and carries a full size pontiac rally wheel with a firestone raised white lettered spare tire. This genuine pontiac gto convertible has the original rear-end that came with this car from the factory. I have an open, clean, and clear illinois title in my name that will be sent to the winning bidder by u. Priority mail the moment the funds are clear. The car will need to be picked up at my buddy's place just over the illinois/wisconsin border in kenosha, wisconsin. The nada classic car price guide that anyone can look up on-line has the 1967 pontiac gto convertible with the 400/335 horsepower engine and rally wheels valued at $112,665 in high condition, which they consider an excellent overall vehicle that was completely restored, or an original vehicle showing very minimal wear. Note: this value does not represent a 100 point show car or a #1 vehicle. Those vehicles can reach much higher prices. Nada has the average condition valued at $76,230, which they consider in good overall condition that could be an older restoration or a well maintained original vehicle that is completely operable. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. They say an average condition car is considered a 20-footer! The numbers don't lie! This goat is a very valuable classic automobile! These super rare gto's have consistently shown to escalate in value with each quarter. This goat is for the serious gto collector or just someone who is smart with their money! If any lookers out there happened to be watching the mecum auction in kissimmee, florida 2018 a couple weeks ago, then they viewed the two 1967 gto convertible's that are shown in the picture section. The 1967 burgundy gto convertible sold for a mere $67,000, and was a bargain because it was sold on thursday 1/11/18. I feel confident saying that if that goat were sold on star car saturday it would have went into the 6-figure range. That gto is the exact same looking car as this one being sold in this auction with the exception of this one has the original red interior. In my opinion this color combo is a much more desirable body interior combination, and could quite possibly be the only one left in existence. The 1967 bright red gto convertible sold on friday 1/12/18 for $130,000. Both of those 1967 gto convertible's had the 335 horsepower numbers matching gto engine's. Those auctions prove that if this sweet gto were brought up to the next level the new owner can make themselves quite a handsome profit. I can't see any winner bidder not being overjoyed with their purchase. There will be endless compliments coming to whoever is the lucky winner of this rare classic goat. I tried to describe all of the pertinent information, so any potential bidder can make the most informed decision possible before placing their bid. They will all be answered in a timely fashion. This cool classic pontiac droptop is being offered at "no reserve" on a 5-day auction ending super bowl sunday evening at 10:00pm eastern time, 9:00pm central time, and 7:00pm pacific time. Good luck and happy bidding!! Bucket Seats✔ Air Conditioning
