Like most muscle cars of the late-60s, the oldsmobile 442 had a bewildering array of options and powertrains. Nicely refinished, it remains a high-quality piece that's got the horsepower to embarrass some seriously nasty machinery. The gm a-body never looked better than when wearing the oldsmobile rocket emblem. Straight, clean, with a stylish kick-up behind the doors, it's what all muscle cars aspire to look like. Finished in handsome yet low-key code t cameo ivory (its original color, by the way), it's definitely a sleeper on the street. A black vinyl top adds some contrast and is in excellent condition, and it seems appropriate on a grown-up muscle car like this. The chrome appears to be a combination of original and refinished equipment, with only the taillight bezels showing signs of age. Nevertheless, this is a really good-looking car! The black bench seat interior is prototypical luxury muscle car. Correct upholstery on the seats, some nice-looking door panels, and older carpets are in excellent shape and definitely not low-key. The dash lays everything out in a wide band of brushed metal trim and while the gauges don't cover a lot of information, we like the look. There's also a factory am/fm radio that's fully operational, so this olds the perfect travelling companion. The trunk is finished with a rubber mat that's nicer than those found in lesser cars, plus a full-sized spare and jack assembly. Oldsmobile had a dizzying array of variations on the 400 cubic inch v8, at the top of the list. There's also a newer alternator and power brake booster, as well as a giant radiator that keeps the big block nice and cool. The th400 3-speed automatic transmission and 12-bolt rear end are ready to party and with headers and a fresh exhaust system, it has a voice that'll make children run and hide. The stance is just about perfect and it sits on color-matched rally ii wheels with 225/70/15 goodyear rubber that's suitably sized for the big olds body. With a serious horsepower upgrade, this handsome 442 remains fast, fun, and eminently enjoyable. AM/FM✔ Air Conditioning

1979 oldsmobile cutlass - o fallon, ilgateway classic carso fallon, il 62269ph: 6182713000web: www. Carsforsale. Com/used_cars_for_sale/dealerinventory. In the car world the term "sleeper" is used to describe a car that is unassuming in appearance but packs plenty of punch under the hood and that could not describe this classic oldsmobile better. To start off this car is an original "survivor" having only been driven under 41,000 miles since new, and it shows very well. The door panels, dash pad, steering wheel and carpeting are all preserved originals and in remarkable condition. Underneath that cowl-induction hood is a 1970 oldsmobile 350 that was rebuilt less than 1,000 miles ago and sounds fantastic. This engine was factory rated at 310 horsepower and features #6 heads, fresh edelbrock cam and mallory ignition system. Fire is delivered via a msd ignition with 8 mm wires and fuel is delivered with a new edelbrock 650 cfm carb with an electric choke. This car sounds amazing thanks in part to the headers going back to a 3" mandrel bent welded stainless steel exhaust system. Driving is a breeze in this classic cruiser and the 700r4 transmission shifts on point and gets this car up to speed without hesitation and leads back to the 3:73 open gear rear end. New parts on this car include paint finished in the original ppg shade of gold with a little surprise of metal flake that makes this car shimmer in any light. Also all of the weather seals have been replaced along with belts and hoses and the new carburetor. Gatewayclassiccars. Com.
