The mg midget is a small two-seater sports car produced by mg from 1961 to 1979. It revived a name that had been used on earlier models such as the mg m-type, mg d-type, mg j-type and mg t-type. The first version, announced at the end of june, 1961, was essentially a slightly more expensive badge-engineered version of the mkii austin-healey sprite. The original 'frogeye' sprite had been introduced specifically to fill the gap in the market left by the end of production of the mg t-type midget as its replacement; the mga had been a significantly larger and more expensive car with greater performance. Gr auto gallery is pleased to present this 1967 mg midget for consideration. According to the owner, this vehicle is in all original condition, he purchased the vehicle from a gentleman that had the vehicle stored in his garage for over 25 years. The green exterior paint is in great condition considering the age; the black interior is also in great shape showing no major rips, tears, holes or damage. This midget is powered by a 1275cc 4 cylinder motor that runs like a top and pairs perfectly with the 4 speed manual transmission. The 70,xxx miles on the odometer are believed to be original and correct to the body and the motor. A few extras come along with this mg, a few are; the original handbook, car cover, assorted mg/midget books and a webber carburetor. This is an incredible barn find. Was in storage in Georgia for 40 years ! Thecar has had new ball joints, brakes, clutch, gas lines, hoses and much more !! The car was running but now won't start. Might need the carbs cleaned . Tires all look great . Even has the radio ! Theconvertible top is like new as is the rear window. All 4 side windows are likenew as well. I have added the requested pictures of the vin plate, enginenumber, and fuel pumps. They were brass gas lines. I do not except paypal.

Great example of a true British sports car. The MG Midget was made for the tight curvy roads of England. A simple 4 cylinder motor with a 1498cc putting out 65hp. This little car starts right up and runs down the road with no problems. we can find VERY little rust as the pictures show. 4 speed without the problematic OD. New front tires (or should I say tyres). The "boot" and "bonnet" are in great shape. Has the convertible top cover. Tire jack is complete. New mudflats, not installed and a new speedo cable included. New horn cover included.

Go and try to find more two-seat roadster than this 1979 mg a (aka midget) for under $15,000. Typically, the ones used as daily drivers found ways to rust in the most demonic ways possible, but this one is straight, clean, and totally ready to use immediately without any expensive additional work. British racing green is always a good color on these cars, giving them a traditional, almost expensive look that seems to defy their diminutive size. Fit and finish are also quite good with panels that are still straight and clean as they were three-and-a-half decades ago. Rubber bumpers were standard equipment in the late '70s, but they're more tastefully done here than on the b, which had its looks radically altered by federal regulations. The trunk rack is a practical and stylish addition, and mgb fans will undoubtedly recognize the taillights. Small on the outside doesn't mean cramped inside. Sure, it's cozy, but there's adequate legroom thanks to the twin bucket seats. Clear white-on-black gauges have a no-nonsense look that was typical of british cars of the period, and the relationship between the wheel, shifter, and pedals was designed by enthusiasts who seemed to know what they were doing, because it's a joy to drive.
