First year of big rubber US required bumpers and they no longer fit perfectly. Many spares and extras plus did complete tune up andservicing plus new factory muffler as well. Second owner installed an alarmsystem, which for me detracts from survivor status as well. Plus, I have yet tofigure it out. Set of "Minilite" style wheels by Western Wheel. The wheels need agood bead blasting to clean up. These wheels have very good looking 175/70 R14tires, but quite old, 1992 I think is build date. PO was going to soup up, soLOTS of spare parts including; NEW alternator, water pump, brake pads and shoes. One new pair of steel rear drums as well. New alternator still in Box. New waterpump still in Box. There are various boxes of new brake parts, ignition partsand seal type washers. Lot of new in the bag nuts, bolts and studs. Spare set ofnew wiper blades (all three). A new weather strip in bag. New light, signal andheadline switch. Set of new engine mounts and complete overhaul gasket set w/2valve cover gaskets. There are a pair plus one braided steel brake lines aswell. Miscellaneous used parts, most notably a 2bbl down draft Weber withmanifold. An aluminum "MG" valve cover and oil cooler. Used distributor andparts, clutch and master cylinders. Rusty but very usable header with newgasket. Couple of used alternators too. Getting too old (and heavy) to easilyget in and out of car, plus have TR6, Morris Traveller and Volvo P1800ES projectcar. No more garage space! Great car for survivor, fullrestoration to original, or, as is daily driver. Car is in Keno, OR (8 miles from CA/ORborder. I will deliver car on trailer to Klamath Falls, OR.

Vin # GAN5UE140027 GEngine Tag #: 12V/671Z/L125Evolve Motors & Chicago Car Club are pleased to present this 1974 MG Midget! Exterior:We really like these pre-impact-bumper MGs. The small, chrome bumpers really do wonders for the car’s looks. Silver paint shows very nicely, and has a great metallic sparkle to it. However, there are a couple dings just ahead of both doors, from the door being swung open too far and making contact with the body. Black convertible top is in excellent shape, with no damage or visible wear. All chrome pieces – door handles, bumpers, mirrors, light trim, badges, etc, are in great shape, with no oxidation or damage. All lights and glass are clear and crack-free. Wire wheels are in decent shape, there’s no damage but they do show their age a bit. Overall, the car is in nice, driver-level condition. Interior:Tan interior looks great against the silver exterior. Condition is consistent throughout the interior – not damaged, but showing its age a bit by way of slight fading. The tan color of the door panels looks to be slightly off from that of the seats. Leather-wrapped dash in in very nice shape, with just a couple little hairline cracks in the leather. Black carpets appear close-to-new throughout. All gauges, lights, and signals are functional. The car will come with a black leather tonneau cover and boot cover. Odometer reads 48,966, true mileage unknown. There are remains of a protective sealant towards the front of the frame rails and the front floors. Please see underbody photos. Overall, the car is structurally sound but not perfect. On the road, the car feels quite good. It fires right up without fault, idles cool and steady, and pulls through the gears with no stuttering or hesitation. Clutch grabs as it should, and there are no noises or tendencies of concern when rolling over speedbumps or cornering. Tires should be replaced before becoming a routine driver, as the rears show some dry rot, but the car does run and drive nicely. As it sits, this would make for a great top-down summer cruiser. The 1275cc motor, which was actually a slightly detuned version of the original Mini Cooper S motor, only makes about 55hp, but with its light weight, short wheelbase, and rev-happy nature, the car is an absolute blast to drive. Everyone knows the friendly, accessible mgb, but this 1977 mgb has a unique look that fixes everyone's biggest complaints about the late bs without losing the things that make them great traditional sports cars. Shaving them off completely gives this mgb a sleek, purposeful look that's entirely in line with its sporting intentions. Adding a chrome grille up front makes it look like the original designers intended and with a pair of big rally lights up front and a roll pan in back, the car looks quite finished, as if the factory built it that way. The silver paint was done a while ago and isn't show quality, but for a car that's destined to be driven with gusto on twisting country roads, nobody will notice or care. The important stuff like the rockers and doors are in good condition and the overall unusual look will win this b a lot of fans along the way. Traditional styling elements like the chrome-ringed side marker lights, big taillights, and exposed rear gas filler remain in place, keeping this car firmly tied to its british heritage. Twin buckets flanking a console, rugged seat covers that are cleverly textured to keep them cool, and big, simple gauges were all hallmarks of mg in the 1970s. The gauges are in good order, the seat covers are excellent, and it appears to have recent carpets. There's a decent-fitting black convertible top that fits behind the seats, and the trunk is nicely carpeted and includes a full-sized spare. The nicely detailed engine has a few bright red accents, an aftermarket exhaust header, and enough power to feel lively at any speed.
