So we listed it as an 80 so that we could still show the vin of the car. This vehicle is a 1984. Make sure and check out the Video below. This is a very cool car. The Bumpers on the EURO models are so much sleeker looking and the 4 Speed is just amazing. This car fires up and runs good. It does have the 4-Speed manual transmission so it is a blast to drive. Since its the EURO model EBAY and AUtocheck do not see the vin so it comes up as a 80 im sorry it the title says 1984 and the car says end of 1982. So its a 1984 EURO car. The exterior of this car is very nice. I love these grey market cars with the sucked in bumpers and the different lights. The body on this car is as straight as can be. There are a few dings that i show up close in the Video. Has the nice chrome luggage rack on top. All the rest of the chrome looks great and just shines in the sun. We only have 2 of the hubcaps and they are in good shape and have the color matching paint in the centers. Has an almost like new set of $600.00 Pirelli Tires that have atleast 90% tread left. The interior does need some work. The seats are are in ok shape but do need some work. The passenger seat has been changed to a Recaro. It has all of the cool options on the seat but none of them are hooked up or work. The recaro is worth Alot of money also I can have the seats that are in it done complete for $550 to $650 all new. The carpets are in good shape but do need to be cleaned. The dash has quite a few cracks in it but could easily be replaced or put a dash mat on. These euro cars are really unique and a great classic to ad to or start a collection with. Call anytime with questions…. The car hails from San Francisco California. The 300D also known as a W123 has a reputation for going over 500k miles. In fact in Africa they are still used as taxis or to haul around important diplomats. It is a car that was truly built to last. They are very easy to work on and don't require much besides routine maintenance. I would not hesitate to drive the car back to California. Clean California title. I had the car shipped to CT in December of 2016. Since then it has been garaged and hasn't been exposed to any road salt or snow. There is no rust anywhere on the chassis. The original undercoating is still intact. All wheels are true and straight showing minor wear for the age and mileage. The paint is in rough shape in some areas with typical clear coat failure on the hood fenders and doors although from 10-15 feet it still looks great. There are minor dings here and there but all in all the body is in decent shape. The interior of the car is also in great shape but it does show signs of wear and tear in a few places. The driver's side seat bolster has a 1 inch tear. The passenger seat and rear seats are intact and have no discoloration or staining. I steam cleaned the entire interior removing the seats and carpet to fully clean all nooks and crannies as well as inspecting for any rust or damage underneath the carpets. The door panels are in good shape with no rips or tears. The dashboard has one half inch crack towards the windshield. The headliner is excellent with no rips tears or stains. Mechanically the car is great. I have fully went through the car. The cooling system has been overhauled. new water pump and thermostat installed citrus flush done new hoses drive belts sensors and coolant reservoir drain plugs. All engine filters have been replaced which includes the air filter power steering filter both fuel filter as well as the tank fuel filter fresh Delo 15w40 oil with MANN filter. Both Oil cooler lines have been replaced ( Difficult neglected item). New glow plugs New bosch fuel injectors. Valve cover gasket as well as oil pan gasket replaced. Air cleaner mounts are common to fail and have been replaced. The return hoses have been replaced for each injector. New Lemforder engine mounts as well as engine shocks with new bushings. The transmission filter has been also replaced. Transmission cooler hoses are brand new as well. Brand new battery as well. The car is in great shape for someone looking to drive as is or continue to restore back to its glory days. The car starts right up and is ready for a new owner. Located in Bristol CT.
