2001 lotus esprit gt twin turbo v8. This is getting to be a very rare car, in fact in 1999 to2001 there were only 204 of them manufactured, and only 60 from 2001 with the round tail lights. This is no normal lotus esprit... This esprit has been rebuilt with racing components to a level at which is trulybreathtaking. The owner wanted it fast. The engine has been rebuilt once with forged pistons, large 100cc racing injectors andupgraded turbos all at a cost of more than $25000. But it was not fast enough. Then it was rebuilt again, 800 miles later, with even more upgrades, including aps head bolts, upgraded cams formore low end torque, upgraded ems, ecu and more powerful fuel pump. Since the second rebuild (less than 100 miles ago), the owner has suffered an injury from a car accident and can nolonger drive a 5 speed manual vehicle so sadly this must go. This lotus esprit makes more than 550 bhp at the rear wheels. With a curb weight of 3000 pounds that means thiscar is a ferrari, lamborghini and z06 killer in the 0-60, 0-100 and on any race track. This lotus esprit has a rear camera to make it easy to reverse, the radio has a remote control, navigation systemand hard drive for mp3 and video files. The interior is in good shape and features led lighting, with led projectors under each door with the lotus logo. Currently the rear wing has been removed however it is included in the sale and can be installed at no cost if thenew owner wishes it so. Mileage is an estimate, will update when available. The owner is a lotus owners group member and has had 4 lotus esprit cars so he is very well versed in the way theyoperate and is meticulous about the maintenance on these cars. Navigation System

Theesprit’s timeless lines, amazing delivery of speed and performance make it an amazing collector car. It's notoften that one comes through the doors of flat 12 gallery, as not many were produced or kept to the standards thatwe require. We were lucky enough to find this example in southern california and are able to offer it for sale tothe public. We believe that lotus esprits are quite the gem in both the performance department and upcomingcollectability, like we have seen with ferrari’s and porsches of late. Lotus was careful in keeping the esprit production numbers low, with lifelong limited production numbers for allesprits shipped worldwide from 1976 to 2004 coming in at 10,675 total units. Although productionnumbers varied over the years, this 1998 lotus featured here is one of only 301 were build that year with only 142v8’s, 99 being v8gt's and 60 being gt3’s. So in true super car fashion they are an elitist, limited productionsuper car. This 1998 b03 calypso red lotus with magnolia interior esprit 3. 5l twin turbo v8 is an amazing example of the lotusvehicle. It has been well cared for with tatesful upgrades added to give it that timeless exotic sports carappeal. The paint, finish and interioron this epsrit will not disappoint, as it is apparent that the previous owners of this car wanted a top notch ridethat didn't show its age. This example has two signatures on the inner fender one we have concluded is roger g. It was also photographed for an upcoming magazine feature and a sample photo has been placed at the end of thephotos. The b03 calypso red paint is extremely fresh with some rock chips present but with an overall thick fresh paintvibe. There are some scraps to the black lower valance on the front bumper from use and a few touched up rockchips. The interior shows extremely well and appears original with onlysome minor wearing to the boldest of the drivers seat. Normal leather creases are visible and are appreciated overa spray dyed look. The carpets, door panels, dash, gauges, shifter, etc are all in excellent condition. I have been around quite a few esprits and many have issues with the seat leather shrinking and the paint vibrancyand often times they appear like a 90’s car. This esprit looks like a modern supercar with its glossy redexterior, tasteful upgrades, custom black nicely staggered forgestar performance wheels 18" in the front and 19" inthe rear wheels that are wrapped in nicely treaded 225 40r18 and 305 30r19 potenza tires. It is finished with acolor matched removable sunroof. I do want to remind the taller drivers that this model will house someone up toabout 6'5" unlike the older versions. Powered by 3. 5l v8 twin turno with 5 speed transmission, leather seats, power windows, locks and mirriors with colda/c and mp3 adaptable alpine stereo. This really is a respectable example of the lotus sports car that graced thescenes of so many iconic mov details conditionmodelyearcolor used esprit 1998 red contact seller. Details of work gator has performed: 7/14 - 21,907 miles 22,714 spent): 4 new tires f:245/40r17 r:295/35zr18, oil cooler lines replaced, waste gate actuators replaced with upgraded jae units, spark plugs replaced, new serpentine belt, new twin plate oem clutch, flywheel, flywheel bolts, re-tensioned timing belts (has blue gates belts), replaced intake temp sensor, replaced axle seals and /o/ rings along with new redline mt90 fluid, replaced rear shocks with upgraded bilstien units with new perches, installed high flow cats with custom tips and hangers (muffler delete), added stainless brake lines (jae), new rbf600 fluid, resurfaced all rotors, replaced all 4 front swaybar bushings, hard-wired radar detector, upgraded stereo (head unit, custom sub enclosure pass foot well, amp, speakers), replaced battery (inerstate mt-36r), replaced wiper blade, fresh air box foam gasket replaced, kn air filters replaced. 1/27 - 24,391 miles: #6 cylinder liner cracked. Removed engine, tore down to bare block. Refit 1 new liner and cleaned and refit 7 old liners with proper hylomar, installed new rings on #6 piston and rebuilt engine with all new gaskets, seals, belts and fluids, replaced the iac and rear o2 sensors, reinstalled unit and thoroughly tested. Vehicle has had an interior, exterior and engine detail and is ready for immediate delivery.
