While the bucket seats are covered in a durable vinyl, they are comfortable enough to make the trail an easy ride. In between is a latching center console that provides both comfort and security. Plus, heater controls and gauges clustered in the center of the dash. This was the top engine option from the factory, and it has been enhanced even further with fuel injection. That means extra power and torque for the trail, as well as a sweet rumble with the hedman headers feeding the dual exhaust. This sturdy setup is the backbone of jeep's reputation for providing the military and civilians with 4x4 vehicles for over 75 years. The 1980 jeep cj-5 renegade offered here for sale was recently brought to us from the warm and dry climate of texas where it spent quite some time. It has had one recent repaint and received new decals. The body shows well and polishes up with a nice shine. The jeep is powered by a 304 v8 with a 4 speed manual transmission. The engine and the area under the hood were given some attention to detail and is nicely painted up. It sits on 15 inch chrome wheels with 33x12. 5x15 wild country radial tires mounted up. It features a chrome grille as well. It would be a challenge to get this thing stuck, but if achieved there are tow rings mounted on the front bumper. The jeep has had a few parts added and upgrades done to it. It has a newer alternator, edlebrock 4 barrel carburetor, chrome air cleaner, dual exhaust, msd ignition with accel wires, new aluminum radiator and hoses, dual exhaust, new brake calipers and pads, power brakes and power steering, aluminum intake. The interior features recently re-upholstered bucket seats and a bench in the rear done in black vinyl. The soft top is in good condition as are the soft doors. The interior was accented with a chrome gauge panel and glovebox door. The jeep is equipped with a roll bar and a lockable center counsel. Aftermarket volt meter, temperature, and oil pressure gauges were added. With the 4x4 market on a steady rise and the condition of this jeep, this would make the perfect fit for any enthusiast, collector, or cottage vehicle.
