Honda crx si 1985 sunroof cd spoiler alloy wheels 85 black 5 speed manual tinted civic fuel injected vin jhmaf5339fs035637 selling my personal time capsule. I have owned this vehicle since 1995 and it’s in excellent condition for a 30 year old vehicle. I drove this car from 1995 to 1996 and then from 1998 to 2002. It was stored indoors the other years in a storage environment. It has been in storage since 2002. As such there are some areas that will need to be addressed. It has 146,000 original miles and would be a great restoration project. In an effort to provide full disclosure, i want to convey all the good and bad details i can think of when listing this car. If there are other areas of concern, please message me before purchase. I have the clean title in hand, ready for transfer. The good: to my knowledge the car has never been wrecked. I am a mechanic and took very good care of it when in use. The drive train is perfect on this car. Engine and transmission are in superb condition. Shifts smoothly, i changed the clutch out personally on this vehicle at one point. I also changed the timing belt, brakes as needed, tires, filters, tune-ups, bosch platinum spark plugs, oil, etc. A/c compressor was changed at one point, although it does not appear to be blowing cold air currently after being in storage, may need a recharge or additional support. Entire fuel system just changed including fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel filter, injectors. Engine oil and filter just changed with full synthetic oil. Alloy american racing rims that are in good condition. Tires are in good shape and appear to have 30,000 miles or so of life left on them. No major body issues or dents. Sound system was updated at one point with a cd player and upgraded speakers in doors and rear. High amperage cabling was installed under carpet and paneling for subwoofer in the rear. Amp and subwoofer are not currently present but wiring is intact if this is desired. Tweeters are installed on the side panels. Glass in the car is perfect as far as i know, i don’t see any cracks or even rock chips when examining the glass. If there are small imperfections they are likely very minor. Windows are tinted and appear to be in decent condition on the side windows, the back glass needs the window tint replaced as it is bubbled. Car has a sunroof and was used frequently when i drove it. It currently pops up but will need to be opened and cleaned/lubricated for proper function. I installed a car alarm and an auxiliary air horn in addition the existing stock horn, not currently connected to the battery but should be functional if re-connected. Interior is in fantastic shape. Seats are in amazing condition for their age. No major tears or stains with the exception of a tear along the side of the drivers side seat near shoulder height which was repaired. It has been a functional repair that has not spread for the last 20 years. Dash and panels are in amazing condition for the age of the vehicle. I have had cars that were 5 years old that the dash and panels have cracked out and broken. The interior of this car is in fantastic shape!!! Engine coolant heater installed that can be plugged in during winter months if needed. Headlights upgraded to brighter halogen lighting. Battery is in good condition and starts the car right up. As far as i know, all instruments and components are in working condition without problem unless otherwise mentioned here. That being said, realize this is a 30 year old car and there are going to be some minor things that may need adjusted and repaired. Smoke free, never been smoked in. The fuel tank and fuel pump were just replaced in the last week and are completely rust-free. The bad: the paint on this car has seen better days. It is no longer the original glossy black as the sun has caused the clear coat to bubble/peel on the roof and hood. In addition there are paint chips in a variety of locations, especially on the hood. The exterior moldings along the windows are cracking and will need repainted for the painted ones and replaced for the rubber ones. The exterior of the car will eventually need repainted. This is the original paint and its 30 years old folks, great shape for its age but it could use a new paint job. There is some very minor corrosion under the car including under the rear wheel wells. Very minor for its age. Using a small amount of bondo to make a couple minor repairs would likely be a good idea before the car is repainted. The exhaust needs replaced. The car is louder than it should be currently as the muffler/exhaust pipe is rusted out. Muffler and exhaust pipe under the car will need replaced. Again, these parts should be available quite economically. Hard to find a comparable vehicle as this car that has literally been stored indoors for 15 years of its 30 year age. Well maintained - Just passed safety and emission with no issues (never had any problems with registration). 1985 Honda CRX Si, runs great, gets great gas mileage (between 36 and 40 MPG). Fun car to drive, very snappy and has a sunroof and a good stereo system Sunroof/Moonroof

I bought this car a few months ago with the intent to rebuild the engine or put a k20a swap in it. The car was on fire from an exhaust leak and melted the plastic valve cover. I’m out of time now. Ill be moving to seattle w. And need to give it up. So i have everything for the original engine with the 5 speed transmission.
