Honda civic eg6 hatch w/ acura b18ls (non-vtec) this car has come a long way in the 2. 5 years that i've been working on it. I'm not made of money and most of the time that i have is dedicated to making the money that i have. That said, this is a car that i've wanted for a long time. I just don't have the room for it anymore or the time... It's still what i would call a "project car" and is need of someone with the time and dedication to finish it off. Anyone who knows these cars, knows the stigma and the status that they carry. Very light and nimble. Here's what i've done and what it has: i started by gutting the car, cleaning it the best i could. Cleaned the floor with acetone and put down sound deadening/heat shield. New fuel pump removed the fenders - cleaned/prepped and coated the support/fender well with rubberized undercoating. The rocker area (under the trim that runs under the doors) was also cleaned and coated with the undercoating. All new ball joints and bushings up front has integra spindles (which were sand blasted and painted) which house larger bearings (new) than the civic - this was so i could use actual integra axle shafts. New seals on the outside of the trans. New exide clutch new shift linkage and shifter adjustable coilovers (only the front currently installed) new adjustable upper control arms new front rotors calipers from an 02 civic si buddy club 6 spoke wheels (probably need some level of reconditioning) engine was a fresh rebuild with aprox 500 miles on it before the head went (according to previous owner) i've put about 300 miles on it since i've got it running. (so the engine bay is a bit dusty now) head was milled . 030 and has new valves and seals mounted with arp studs (with turbo thoughts in the future) hard rubber engine mounts (yes... The air filter tube is home-made) engine has all new gaskets and torqued to spec! Adjustable cam gears goodyear timing belt (needs timed and tuned) speed daddy exhaust manifold alum. Aftermarket radiator/fan new adjustable rear upper control arms (not installed yet) this is all that comes to mind right now. What it needs: new exhaust new windshield front fender well liners (for this reason it hasn't been driven in the rain yet) lots of odds and ends that have been left alone as last minute details. Needs attention to the rear brakes and stuff. (although it works well - brakes and bearings) i have parts that could contribute to having rear disk brakes (hubs, calipers and such). All said it's a good running car. It's quick (without having to abuse it) and fun to drive! It just needs someone to continue it from here. I have put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this thing - even on a limited budget.
