This 1929 ford model a sport coupe is a great running and driving car! I have taken this car on several trips myself and it always started very easy and drove very nice. The restoration is older, i would say 10-15 years ago, and everything was addressed at that time including all of the drivetrain being rebuilt according to the previous owner. The car still looks excellent and shows very very nice especially compared to other model a's i have sold that were similar in the restoration age. The sport coupe was the top of the line for coupes in its day and featured a soft top roof which was very popular. Everything on this car appears to be working properly. This includes lights, gas gauge, interior light, speedo. This really is a great little car. Don't let it get away. Complete pictures and video at www. 4-wheelclassics. Com.

1931 ford model a roadster single family ownership excellent condition original drivetrain evolve motors & chicago car club are pleased to present this 1931 ford model a roadster! We purchased this 31 model a out of michigan, from the granddaughter of the original owner. Her grandfather had passed away a year earlier, and there were no other automotive enthusiasts in the family so we got a call with a sale offer. This car was restored in the late 1980s and has seen periodic use ever since. The restoration was done with originality in mind; all original parts that could be retained were. All the little things like light lenses, bumpers, gauges, and hardware were all kept correct. The original motor is still in place, #a2541733. The date of the engine stamping is october 1929, though the car was sold for the 1931 model year. Between 1929-1931, in the midst of the depression, there was a period of limited demand, so it was common for parts to sit on the shelves for a while before being used up. The car will come with a title issued 1949, with an image of the original 1931 title attached. The engine number noted on the original title, which was actually used as the vehicle's identification number at the time, matches the number on the block in the car. Exterior: - we put an elcometer (paint gauge) all over the car and were pleased with the findings. There is very, very little bondo (rust repair) on this car. There is a spot on the forward lower corner of the passenger door where the elcometer did not read, which would indicate filler. This is not visible to the naked eye in any way. - there are very few blemishes on the car, even in the corners by the hood latches, where these cars always get chipped up and scratched. There are only a couple very minor chips on the car, no significant scratches or scuffs, no dents or dings, and no spots of bubbling. - polished pieces (bumpers, handles, trim pieces) are all in excellent shape. Shine bright and with no damage. - red pinstripes (painted) look great against the black and yellow exterior - beige canvas convertible top is in excellent shape. Easy to put up and take down. - garfield tires are in great shape, with no dry rot interior: - chestnut brown leather front and rear seats are in excellent condition. No scuffs, no signs of wear really. - rear seats easily pull up and go back down - rubber floormat over wood floors (both excellent) - wipers, lights (headlights, taillights, brake lights), handbrake, and choke are all functional. - odometer reads 60,927. Gauge cluster in great shape. - glass and lenses all clear and crack-free under the hood / underbody: - original 201cid l-head i4 and 3spd manual - 6v electrical system - runs and drives very well. Much easier and more intuitive to drive than one may expect of a car of such vintage. With any questions, requests, or to discuss purchasing, please reach out to jake at evolve motors at 773-267-2684.

Henry ford spent most his first years fighting off the idea of changing the model t which produced and sold over 15 million models before his son, edsel, finally convinced him that some new features and comforts were necessary. On may 25th, 1927, ford announced the shutdown of the plant and production of the model a and began retooling the entire factory to begin its new and improved version, the model a. They completed this process in almost 6 months and had cars pumping out quickly which was only possible due to edsel secretly marshaling the design and sketch team to begin working on the new model prior to henry ever even approving such a change. The car was built in 2002 and was a labor of love; no expense was spared in building it. The car was nothing more than an all steel shell that had never been cut or chopped in the beginning. It was built completely from the ground up and has a handsome pile of receipts reelecting this. It features some great creature comforts like power brakes, air conditioning, wipers and heat, this classic car has been upgraded to modern comfort. The car is powered by a healthy 355 v8 that was bored . 30 over 350 and was given a mild comp cam. The block features trickflow twisted wedge aluminum heads, march pulleys and brackets, serpentine belt system, aluminum valve covers and coated block hugger headers and is fitted with a 350 t. Fuel injection system. The car features a 350 turbo automatic transmission. The car rides on american racing 200s polished aluminum rims. The chassis features the original frame that was boxed, and given a 4" drop front axle with 4 bar front suspension with vega steering box, ford 8" rear end with 3. 00 gear ratio, triangular 4 link suspension with coil overs. This car is not a convertible or a roadster, it is the hard to find sports coupe. The car also features two 8 gallon fuel tanks. Makes every effort to represent each vehicle accurately and with integrity. We also welcome third party inspections when necessary. Unless otherwise noted, all vehicles are sold as is, no warranty expressed or implied. Air Conditioning

In 1929, country fuel tankers were few and far between they had a special built 2 compartment tank fitted to a Roadster Pickup Ford Model A. It was common to see one refueling a tank connect to a visible pump in front of a Country General Store. Deliveries were a welcome site for both gasoline and kerosene. Open the rear doghouse doors and find the typical hose and brass nozzle that would connect to one of the 2 outlet nozzles installed. This truck is a tribute to Shell Oil, professional frame off restored, clad in mirror finish yellow and black paint. All new interior, engine rebuilt to specs - 4 cylinder Lhead 40 HP mated to standard 3 speed Ford transmission. Carefully clad in all the tribute signage that would advertise the company of the era. Runs and performs as new. A rare opportunity to use for museum and/or Petroliana collection of the most discerning collector. We just drive it for fun, not a show car, so there are a few minor blemishes and rust spots, not noticeable from a distance. The vinyl roof needs to be replaced or repaired since the tacking pulled back from the edge many years ago. Has fiberglass fenders, but we have the original metal fenders as well as numerous spare parts (pictures attached)
