The C6 automatic transmission is mated to a 9″ Ford rear end. The icing on the cake for this Fairlane is the Thunderbolt Hood. The engine is a 427 FE Center Oiler and was completely rebuilt. All of the exterior and interior trim and chrome is in excellent condition and free from the bumps and dents one might normally see on a car of this age. While the body was very solid and rust free to begin with, the paint work shows very well

This one sports a big 427 emblem on the doors, Thunderbolt lettering on the quarters, and a few details like lettering on the front fenders warning people not to lean on them due to their fragile lightweight construction. Bare-bones was the only way the Thunderbolt came from the factory, but the handsome gold bucket seat interior here manages to look upscale at the same tim. Most Thunderbolts were Wimbledon White like this one, so the graphics would show up bright and clear Tachometer

1964 ford fairlane 500 ranch wagon project. This is an original unmolested wagon with a 289 and automatic. Car has been sitting and isn't running. Manual steering and brakes. Good stock uncut dash. All the glass is good and is factory tinted. Frame and rockers are in good condition. Doors edges and bottoms are solid. Lower quarters need attention, inner extentions are good. Floors need to be replaced, spare tire well and rear floor are in good condition. Grill and headlight surrounds are good, bumpers are good, i have all the trim for the car. Floor is worst part of the car. Car has lots of potential as a thunderbolt wagon or good cruiser.
In 1970, the owner put in wipers, a radio, carpet, a sunvisor and a heater in this Thunderbolt because he was going to drive it on the s. Later it was painted back to white and raced again in 1972. This Thunderbolt is an unrestored one of a kind unique vehicle. This famous Thunderbolt was first owned by Conner Ford and raced as "Revenge" then it was painted blue and raced as "Blue Thunder"
The only clue to this cars potential is the functional fiberglass hood scoop forcing air into the engine. In the early 1960's, the term muscle car was used to describe a low option, big engine bruiser Tachometer
All sheet metal is restorable but I have the following pieces that are all in incredible condition and are available for an additional 500.00. This is a very solid fairlane that would be a perfect start for an original or Thunderbolt project. Replace the right front frame to radiator support (they make a nice reproduction) Bucket Seats
Powering this tribute Ford Thunderbolt for sale is a 410 cubic inch stroker small block Ford V8 engine. With a 4.11 geared Ford 9" rear end, this Ford Fairlane for sale is more than eager to throw to power to the pavement. Backing the feisty small block is a stout built TCI 3-speed automatic transmission, which just begs to be ran through the gears
