When it comes to 'old school cool', it doesn't get much better than a tricked-out panel truck. Comfortably accommodating two passengers, and boasting the uncommon ability to haul anything from a box of chocolates to a rhino, these fabled workhorses combine the best characteristics of a flashy coupe with the straight up utility of a commercial truck. And, in ultimate homage to golden age detroit design, they seem to always look great! The idea of turning one of these innately cool cars into a sweet custom is really nothing new. However, in the world of modern street rodding, components and build quality are the defining characteristics that separate the trophy winners from the twenty footers. Wrapping clean italian leather and an incredible 547/6-speed powertrain in lust worthy aesthetics, this impressive ford is one of the nicest street rods on the market. Bodywork/trim beginning life as trusted livery for a florist, this solid panel has served three stewards throughout its decades of existence. The current steward, the same guy who sank $250k in to a ground-up restoration, initially located the truck in a church parking lot. At the seasoned age of 13, he began meeting its second owner every sunday to discuss a sell. Well-worn but completely rust-free, the ford was stashed in dry storage until money could be allotted for a complete restoration. And in may of 2012, this dipped, stripped and sealed effie rolled out of emmitsburg maryland's his place auto repair wearing silky mercedes silver 2-stage over original henry ford steel. At the top of that grille, a domed hood anchors 54 louvers in front of a tinted greenhouse and chrome-capped wipers. At the base of that glass, polished mirrors reflect guarded locks, traditional handles, a motorized cowl vent and smoothed running boards. No need to feel embarrassed, it's just that 547 cubic inches of ford racing stroker motor tends to have that effect on enthusiasts. That 570 horsepower beast's 595 lb./ft. Of torque begins when polished air cleaners float wind in to 750 cfm quick fuel carburetors. Those coated carbs, fed through stainless lines and a small auto gage pressure gauge, flood a tall weiand intake that's threaded to hot aluminum heads which are capped in billet breathers and powdercoated valve covers. In front of those breathers, a traditional points distributor shoots spark through loomed accel ferro-spiral race wires. In front of those wires, powdercoated thunderbird pulleys spin a polished alternator opposite a polished ac compressor. Spent gases float through custom, jet-hot-coated headers. And, despite being a thoroughly oversized piece, the powdercoated mill looks right at home in the truck's wimbledon white engine compartment. Drivetrain/suspension the bottom of this panel is no less impressive. A custom stainless chassis traces solid floors that, during the truck's restoration, were converted to full steel and tailored to mini tubs. At the center of those pans, a tough richmond 6-speed, shrouded in a powdercoated lakewood blowproof bellhousing, makes excellent use of a 2-stage hydraulic clutch. That proven gearbox twists a custom, hooped driveshaft, which spins a polished winters 9-inch that's finished with moser 4. 30 gears and trusty moser axles. That road-ready pumpkin drives a polished martz suspension, which is fitted with ridetech air bags that allow five inches of travel. Solid stops occur when a polished brake booster jolts polished ssbc calipers, which squeeze 12-inch drilled and slotted rotors. And all that premium hardware rolls on american racing torq thrust iis, which spin 255/50r17 falken ziex radials in front of 285/60r17 falken ziex radials. Interior there's no shortage of street rods with custom interiors, but a truck this cool always stands out. Opposite those thrones, a custom dash founds vintage air climate control beside clean auto meter telemetry that's hooded to matched the truck's headlights. The driver navigates the strip through a small lecarra wheel, which spins between a tilt steering column and custom hurst shifter. And everything's framed in plush italian leather that's punctuated by modern power windows. Eng and trans controlled by ron francis mg-90 kit. All major wireing wraped in flex then wraped in tape. Lighting and dash controlled by ron francis ford retro kit. There are unused spaces for other add ons. New tires 205-15, 235-15. New wheels, front and rear suspension is 1999 crown vic , brakes roters turned with new calabetiors, pads, flex lines. Uses stock springs in rear, front coils cut one round. Cab and dog house is mounted on original points, with new bushings- cab is not cut up to fit frame as in some builds. Bottom of fenders,cab,bed and frame painted with por-15. Runs down the road well, 75mph easy . There are 2 small rust holes (see pictures) otherwise the body is in real good shape. Interior new dash pad, visors, door panels, weather stripping, seat rebuilt, carpet, sound isolation in floor, doors and back of cab.

Mostly scuff and shoot. Custom conte rectangular tube chassis with gm independent front suspension with chromed a-arms and disc brakes all installed. Frame and undercarriage is fully painted with same ppg body paint. Rear chassis is a custom built chromed fully adjustable 4 bar link with chromed coil over alden fully adjustable shocks all mounted to a 4. 11 ratio 9 inch ford rear end. Front and rear gm disc brakes with 11 inch rotors. All brake lines are polished stainless and fuel lines polished aluminum. Fuel tank is a custom polished stainless steel with sending unit that mounts between rear frame rails. Engine is a pro built by racing head service crate motor ford 351 cleveland, built to pantera specs with 10. 5 to 1 compression ratio rated at 450 hp. All new or rebuilt components. New demon 650 cfm carburetor on a new edelbrock performer intake. New chrome high torque starter, new oem factory ford distributor and coil with 8mm accell performance yellow wire set. Engine has custom built brackets to hide wiring. Have new factory rear tailights. Exhaust is inch flanged sanderson headers that have been triple ceramic plated (to reduce heat and prevent metal bluing) flowing thru fully polished 3 inch mandrel bent stainless steel tubing with high flow polished stainless steel aero turbine mufflers a $3k system. Transmission is a trans tech pro built ford c-6 with shift kit and stall converter also painted yellow. Bed boards are red oak (2 missing) with polished stainless steel mounting strips. All body and chassis mounting hardware is either chrome or polished stainlesssteel. Instrument cluster is a dakota digital with vintage air a\c unit and chromed sanderson compressor. New glass with a tinted shaded windshield and one piece smoked side glass that needs door glass runners to complete installation. Ididit tilt steering column with aluminum 3 spoke leather wrapped steering wheel. All wiring has been professionally done, wires are all stenciled, mostly hidden and looks fantastic. Bmw style front tilt cantilever hood kit well fitted. Fully polished aluminum $1,200 dollar custom 4 core radiator with surge tank and adjustable temp controlled electric fan. I have oem porsche tan carpet for it and back of cab has fiberglass mounting structure in place to mount interior on. Rear of frame had chips in paint so was sanded down and is primed for paint. Rear end has been reworked to cover all weld work and is primed for paint, driveline is custom build by driveline services and primed for paint. Air Conditioning

Stunning professional build. 1150 horsepower 545 cubic inch ford v8, air suspension, custom graphics, suicide doors, gorgeous interior. Over-the-top in every way! The clean lines are handsome and lend themselves well to the raked stance, so wes knew he had a winner when he started. The very first thing he did was take it out in the parking lot and shoot it—literally! The list of body mods is extensive, with the obvious stuff like suicide doors, a complete de-badging, a smoothed tailgate with hidden latches, the door handles were shaved, and the front bumper was replaced with an updated piece with built-in fog lamps and a second grille opening. The condition of the ultra-leather is excellent, with only one or two very minor blemishes that probably can’t be seen. Oh, and there is a master cut-off switch and charging pins on the rear roll pan, so this sucker is ready to go any time. The seats were wrapped in more viper red ultra-leather and suede, and they're all-day comfortable. The center console houses the switches for the air ride system as well as controls for fuel pump, ignition, starter, and yes, even the power windows. Built by chuck cice of c. Performance, that mountain of an engine based around a ford racing block and measuring in at a whopping 545 cubic inches! The bores are siamesed for strength and weight, and it was stuffed with an eagle crank and i-beam rods along with a set of forged pistons. Up top, there are aluminum blue thunder heads supported by a full roller valvetrain from crane, including stud girdles for the rocker arms. The most notable upgrade might be that gigantic littlefield 8-71 supercharger fed by a pair of 950 holley double-pumpers, pushing enough boost into the gigantic big block to grunt out nearly 1300 dyno-proven horsepower. There might be another 200 horsepower in there without the nitrous, but it runs a pretty conservative tune so that it can be driven on the street using 110-octane race fuel. A c6 3-speed automatic built by cyclone transmission tries to channel that power, assisted by a 3500 stall tci torque converter and a reverse manual valve body, which actually makes it a lot of fun to drive. A custom driveshaft with oversized u-joints feeds a custom-built strange 9-inch rear end with 4. 11 gears and a set of unbreakable 35-spline axles. Mickey thompson supplied both the gorgeous aluminum wheels and the 26x8. 00-18 front and 31x18. 00-18 rear tires. We didn't expect to love this truck as much as we do, but the over-the-top quality and insane vision that it took to create it make it one of the most remarkable machines we've ever featured. This is a really good running and driving 1955 ford f-100 pickup with a classic look. Exterior: the paint is pretty good overall with just a couple of spots that could use some touching up. the flame job was done very nicely and outlined with pinstripe tape that has a couple small places that have peeled off. there is a small cracked spot on the right front fender and two very small spots on the right rear fender. There is a small spot on the bottom front corner of the bed where the paint has flaked off. The chrome bumpers are in good shape and the grille is nice with no dents in it. The truck is all steel--no fiberglass fenders. The truck is super solid underneath with no rust issues. It appears to have all of the original sheet metal with no patch work ever having been done. It has shaved door handles with remote door poppers. There is a manual release under the hood if there was ever a problem with the battery going low enough that it wouldn't actuate the door poppers. the steel wheels are in really good shape and have nice ford hub caps with trim rings and bfgoodrich silvertown bias ply 6. 70-15" tires that look to be pretty new. All of the glass is in good shape and the door glass and rear window are tinted. There is a small spot of the tint that has peeled on the top of the driver door. All of the head lights, tail lights, brake lights and turn signals work like they should as well. The wood bed is also in good shape. Interior: the interior is really nice with a timeless hot rod style. The vinyl seat cover is new and has a rolled and pleated insert. The door panels were nicely done to match the seat. The headliner is new as well. There are also two sets of aftermarket seat belts installed. It has an aftermarket a/c and heat kit that works well and blows cold. There is an aftermarket cd player mounted to the bottom of the dash next to the a/c control panel. It has a really nice aftermarket gauge panel in the stock location and all of the gauges work correctly. The windows roll up and down easily. The original steering wheel is also in good shape. Drivetrain: the engine appears to be the original 272 y-block and has a casting code of ecg on the back of the block, indicating a 1955-1957 model engine. It has the original 2 barrel and runs very well, starts right up, has plenty of power and has exceptional oil pressure. The transmission is the original 3 speed manual and shifts through the gears very well. The clutch feels good and doesn't feel like it has any slipping when driving down the road. It has the original rear end under it and according to the tag on the glove box it came with 3. 91 gears. It feels like it still has the factory gears because it cruises down the road at 60 mph around 3k rpm. The radiator has an electric fan to keep it cool when running the a/c. Suspension: the truck has the original suspension front and rear with the original straight axle and leaf springs up front and original rear end and leaf springs out back. The manual drum brakes work well and have a nice firm pedal feel. The manual steering is very light and easy to maneuver the truck around, even at low speeds. It runs and drives down the road very well and gets a ton of looks and thumbs up. CD Player✔ Air Conditioning
