It has the 5. 9l 360 engine which is a powerful engine but still gets decent gas mileage. I have driven the truck around quite a bit and it runs good, drives down the road nice, and the tranni shifts when and how it is suppose to. Could use plugs wires cap and rotor at some point. This is a clean low owner rig that has low original miles. The truck is also a 4x4 and the tow package. The exterior of this truck is in good condition. The truck looks like it was parked in a garage most of the time. The body is straight as can be on this truck and has been taken very good care of over the years. There is a ton of chrome on the truck and it all looks great and just shines in the sun. Has the very nice turbine style factory wheels that are in excellent shape and show almost no wear and are wrapped in a very nice set of michelin a/t tires that have lots of tread left. Options: automatic transmission 5. 9l 360 4x4 power windows factory am/fm cassette tow package side steps the interior is in very good shape on this car. It has the red cloth interior that goes great with the exterior. The seats are in really good shape. The show very little wear and only has two small tears on the passenger seat. The back seats look like they were almost never sat in. The carpets are in the same good condition and show very little wear. This truck came with power windows, 4x4, and factory am/fm cassette. I have looked at at least 50 of these ramchargers over the years and this is the first one i have ever seen in this condition, so i bought it. Don’t let this 1987 ramcharger get away! What a value it is at the reserve price which is set very low! This beauty has only had three owners since it was brand new and only 107,870 original miles!! This truck was purchased from the third owner who only owned it since 2016. Take a look at the lines on this beauty, what an amazing looking truck. This beauty is one nice driving rig and in very nice shape. It is a dry – solid – idaho – montana truck all its life. This original 1987 dodge ramcharger custom le 150 edition has the strong original – 318 cid v8 motor in it and it is running very well. The engine is backed by a smooth 3-speed torque-flite automatic transmission which also functions very well and original rear differential. This 1987 dodge ramcharger custom le 150 edition is nicely equipped including factory heavy duty front power disc brakes, power steering, factory gauge package, factory fuel tank, dual chrome and stainless exterior mirrors, factory working ac, factory working cruise control, front bucket seats with center console, rear roof vent, original folding rear bench seat, good heater and defroster and 3-point seat belts. The dual am/fm/cd/usb/aux/bluetooth digital stereo with 4 infinity 4-way speakers, sounds awesome. This truck is a great running and wonderful looking suv. I was amazed at what a joy it was to drive this truck. I drove this truck around for a couple of days back and forth and running errands and on the freeway and it doesn’t pull or wonder even when applying the brakes. These vehicles have an appreciative group of owners, any of which would be pleased to own this one. The suspension and drive-line seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. This pickup is a great investment opportunity and it is priced right! This vehicle is in wonderful condition from top to bottom and from front to back. It will not disappoint someone looking for a clean example of a sought after and hard to find original classic ramcharger that is not seen at every stoplight for sure. The carfax shows an accident, it had some minor damage to the driver’s fender when the owner hit a dear that was repaired. Worldwide vintage autos is pleased to present this collector grade 1987 dodge ramcharger. One owner with 22k original miles! No accidents, etc. “the forward looking collector will note that classic trucks are just getting started - and there are plenty of underpublicized specimens out there†autoweek magazine february 2016. History the earliest dodge ramchargers — and their rare plymouth trail duster cousins — put the “utility†in “sport utility.†in 1974, the standard seating configuration was a single driver's seat. Passenger seats were optional, putting the ramcharger at the bottom of the price ladder among full-sized suvs. Like the blazer and bronco, the ramcharger was based on the brand's full-size pickup entry. The short wheelbase d-series trucks provided the mechanicals and design. To stack up against the chevrolet, gmc and ford competitors, the ramcharger also had a fully removable roof, but unlike the early blazer, the ramcharger used full d-series doors that left the window frames in place when the top was off. That top was different from those of the blazer and bronco, too, primarily because it was optional; the base ramcharger came with a soft top only. Dodge marketing called out the optional steel top as an advantage in its marketing to dealers. To keep costs down, the ramcharger shared many parts with the d-series, including double-walled construction in the bed, which the blazer and the bronco lacked. Dodge also positioned the ramcharger's engine choices as an advantage, at least for the earliest trucks. By 1978, ford only built the bronco with the 351-cid and 400-cid v-8s. Chevrolet and gmc suvs had the 250-cid six-cylinder and three v-8 choices. In 1980, dodge redesigned the d-series and the ramcharger with it.
