Thoughts of the legendary charger immediately bring to mind a near perfect blend of basic transportation and big performance. See, back in the '60s when muscle cars packed on premiums to increase margins, dodge continued to honor the tenets of the cheap speed movement. In fact, the second-generation charger was carefully redesigned to stay firmly grounded in the realm of affordability. Take this brilliantly dapper coupe for example. Combining 528 cubic inches of aluminum hemi with an a727 prorace 3-speed, a full hotchkis suspension and seven years of rotisserie restoration, it's an excellent example of why vintage detroit metal will always be incredibly appealing. Take a long look at this impressive mopar! So sublime it steals the limelight mixing sultry sublime paint with bold black and white vinyl, this classic charger began life as a spry 318 car that was custom-ordered by a chrysler assembly line employee. After an easy 20k miles, that worker passed the dodge to its second owner: a dedicated enthusiast who would enjoy the car for close to two decades. With fit good and finish slick, an original vinyl roof was complemented with a white tail stripe. Replaced during its thorough build, every bit of this mopar's bright ornamentation presents extremely well. At the front of the car, a chrome-trimmed grille hangs an off-set "charger" script between hidden headlamps and amber parking lights. Behind that grille, a scalloped hood centers bold "hemi" callouts between small turn indicators and crisp glass that's framed in straight stainless. At the sides of that glass, a "charger" branded profile centers a correct mirror and traditional door handles between clean marker lamps, tidy wheel lips and an ornate pit stop fuel filler. Of neck-snapping torque! At the top of that world aluminum block, a scorpion racing products throttle body threads wind in to a steady stream of fossils that's provided by holley sequential fuel injection. That prefect mixture of air and fuel, tweaked through an in-car touchscreen controller, floods a slick mopar intake. That intake funnels speed in to aluminum mopar performance/edelbrock heads that are dressed in polished keith black breathers and hemi-themed valve covers. Those heads cap a forged je crank, which spins forged eagle rods under a custom-grind roller cam. At the front of that cam, a billet fast dual-sync distributor sequences msd 6al ignition between an msd blaster ii hvc coil and loomed msd firecore plug wires. At the front of those wires, a polished serpentine drive spins a jones racing power steering pump opposite a polished msd aps alternator. Cooling is provided by a big be cool radiator, which rides between a billet water neck, dual spal puller fans and a snazzy a be cool expansion tank. Exhaust roars through coated tti headers. And details like fast fuel components, a billet milodon oil pump, a spry optima battery and an old school chrysler washer reservoir cement this dodge's status as a well-blended piece of choice mechanical art. Behind that kit, a powder-coated strange dana 60 utilizes an s-trac limited-slip differential and 3. 54 spicer gears to put the power to the pavement. That killer drivetrain pushes a hotchkis total vehicle system suspension. The aforementioned jones racing steering pump powers a quality borgeson gearbox. Quick power is countered by quick stops thanks to green-tinged viper discs. An impressive soundtrack is funneled through 3-inch tti pipes, which center an x-shaped crossover in front of welded dynomax mufflers and polished tti tips. All that proven hardware rolls on machined magnum 500 replicas, which spin 245/45zr17 toyo proxes in front of 315/35r17 toyo proxes. And everything, from this coupe's finned transmission pan and strange inspection cover to its custom fuel tank and deep-sump milodon oil pan, appears clean, well-thought and thoroughly upgraded. In front of those thrones, a monochromatic dash hangs rebuilt rallye gauges beside correct chrysler solid state audio. Beneath that radio, a wood-trimmed console frames a chrysler slap stick shifter. Like-new carpet floats charger-themed floor mats toward surprisingly weather-free door panels. In front of the driver, an original rim blow steering wheel laps a contrasting dodge center piece. And behind the cockpit, a restored trunk features an original mat and correct space saver spare tire. Vehicle sale includes the following documentation an original broadcast sheet an original owner's manual original factory accessory literature original warranty paperwork a 10-pound binder of restoration receipts and component literature superflow windyn dyno results with a race-ready drivetrain, an incredible restoration and stunning aesthetics, this super cool mopar combines big swagger with big appeal.

1973 Dodge Charger Rallye 340 4brl 727 3 speed automatic with shift kit rebuilt two years ago Sure grip rear end #'s matching except car was changed from a column shift to center console slap stick. Very reliable car, just don't get it out enough to justify keeping.  Only known issue is minimal rust on body and heater core that needs to be replaced.

1972 model year with a 440-BBL Magnum Engine, ORIGINAL N96 AIR GRABBER that works perfectly, N85 Tachometer, Strato Vent Cooling, Rear Defrost, FULL MATCHING NUMBERS down to the ultra rare Holley Carburetor (coded for air grabber), and really nice Build Sheet. The FE-5 Rallye Red paint appears to be all original and from what I can tell, the engine paint is original too. This is the Holy Grail find of Rallye Chargers Tachometer
