For sale my 1958 chevrolet 31 cameo apache pick up. Offering all the original sheetmetal, solid with no plastic body filler. one repaint in the correct red color is in very nice condition. the wood bed is solid and in nice condition as well. Chrome is very nice with minor pitting on the original hard to find pot metal. The grill and ornamentation are in really nice condition as well. The original 235 straight 6 cyl motor runs strong and clean. The manual transmission shifts smooth and the truck tracks straight. The truck is extremely solid with no rust through. Floors are totally solid. The interior is extremely clean, original colors clean presentable no rips or tares. the original radio still intact in place (not working) as is the radio speaker. Speedometer and guages, heater heater box are in proper wotking order. The original date coded glass is in great condition, windows open and close correctly with no issues. Lighting, wipers, signal and brake lights function properly. This cameo sports the rare wrap around rear window. New gas tank, fuel lines, fuel pump, tume up, rebuilt original carberator and battery. 1958 cameo pick ups will only continue appreciate in value. It's priced right and the number is negotable within reason. This is a very nice cameo pick up, very clean and original. Truck is available for inspection and test drive. i am a private owner. .

It appears that a frame off restoration was started at some point. The frame, suspension and steering components were painted and the body was bolted back onto the frame for transporting. That is the way i bought the truck. The chrome/trim is very complete on a truck that is very hard to find trim parts for. The fiberglass is all in excellent shape. All of the sheetmetal on the ‘big back window’ cab seems to be very solid and rust free. The bottoms of the doors have a little rust and the cab corners have been patched, but otherwise the cab is in very nice condition. The window glass is in great shape as well, and it comes with new piece of glass for the driver door. This truck would make a great start to what could be a fabulous 58 cameo. There is a handful of parts/trim that come with the truck that is pictured. I do not have an engine or transmission for the truck. Only what is pictured in the photos is available. I have it advertised on a few other sites and will take this ad down without notice when it sells. Thanks for looking!!

Trucks continued to develop, but with positive feedback many feel the cameo helped inspire the ford ranchero & chevy el camino as some people wanted the “best of both worlds”. Using a lot of the original parts, finding a cameo in better condition and with similar originality is likely not possible. Finished in bombay ivory and cardinal red, this pickup cruises nicely powered by the 283ci v8 and 3-speed column shift manual transmission.
