Reatta is an attractive two-seater that can sprint to 60 mph in under ten seconds and cruise comfortably among the country-club set. Its faults are limited production and relatively high used-car prices. Avoid the early models with the electronic control centerpros - acceleration, driver side airbag, antilock brakes, handlingbased on a shortened riviera platform, the front-drive two-seat reatta was introduced in january 1988. Buick hoped to sell both coupe and convertible models at a clip of around 20,000 a year. Sadly, the convertible didn’t arrive until 1990, and when reatta production was haulted in 1991 total sales for all years combined was only 21,850. All models rode a 98. 5-inch wheelbase, and shared an engine and interior design with the larger buick riviera. Styling cues included hidden headlamps and a bubbleback rear window. Sole powertrain was general motors’ 165-horsepower 3. 8-liter v6 mated to a 4-speed od automatic transmission. Reatta also inherited riviera’s electronic gauges and electronic control center, which used a touch-sensitive display screen instead of conventional controls for climate, stereo, and other functions. Two options were available: sunroof and 16-way power driver’s seat. Initially, cloth and leather interiors were offered, however only leather remained after the first season. 1990 buick reatta convertible: 3. 8 litre v-6, auto, fwd: this is a fairly rare sport39,s convertible that was only manufactured in 1990 and 1991 with a total of just 2,132 convertibles in 90 and only 305 in 91 a total of 2,437 reatta convertibles were made out of total reatta production of 21,751 over 4 years. Of those 2,132 cars only 295 black convertible reatta39,s were produced in total. The heat and a/c work. The car also has the automatic pop up headlights which work just like they should as well as the optional fog lights. The top is in good condition overall and is manually operated so no motors or retracting mechanisms to fail. This car has passed colorado emissions and runs and drives great. The paint and body are excellent on this buick. The interior does have some missing and cracked trim though the upholstery is in great shape as is the headliner and carpets. These reatta39,s are quite light and with the 3800 v-6 plenty sporty. These cars handle great and ride buick smooth. Great car for relaxed top down cruising that get39,s decent gas mileage with an ultra reliable v-6.

Gr auto gallery is pleased to present this 1989 buick reatta for purchase. The reatta is the first buick to be advertised as a two-seater since the model 46 in 1940! It was a handmade luxury sports coupe produced in lansing, mi from 1988-1991. It sported its own unique body style and was crafted with an attention to hand finishing uncommon for a mass-produced automobile. The assembly was performed at a small series of craft stations at the legendary lansing craft center, each with a specialized team of workers, rather than a conventional assembly line. After a team had completed their portion of the assembly, the car would be moved by robots to the next station in the series. All of the paintwork was subcontracted to ppg industries personnel, who performed the work on site. These cars are powered by a 3. 8l 170hp v6 and sported a fully independent suspension, 4 wheel disc brakes with abs, and front wheel drive. Theres a lot of performance in this luxury car that intentionally looked to break the mold of luxury having to mean the car also had to increase in size. This 89 reatta is a really cool survivor from the south with a great color combination in black with dark red leather interior. This car is luxury with plenty of features including: touch screen, cruise control, air conditioning, keyless entry, power seats, power windows, 16 wheels, and more!
