This is more than a roadster; its a 240HP time capsule. The M was the brawny, bulked up factory performance version of the attractive, but admittedly tame Z3 and featured a wider stance, bigger wheels and tires, sport suspension, better brakes and yes, that absolutely wonderful 3.2 liter BMW M-Power inline 6. It was (and still is) the BMW roadster that turned heads. Its no wonder these cars are being identified by car experts as the next wave of highly collectible models. I am the second owner of this car, having purchased it in 2005 from the BMW dealership that sold the car new. I bought the car with approximately 25K on the clock and have personally been responsible for the rest of the miles to date, most of which were logged by 2007 and less than 1K per year since then. The car has always been adult driven by me. Those miles were driven respectfully, the car never being abused or neglected, and service was completed by the BMW dealer. In fact, a full check up was conducted just a few miles ago just to assess the cars overall condition and to identify any issues; it passed with flying colors. The car has current PA safety and emissions inspections (passed with no issues) good through November of 2017. In short, this gem runs, drives, shifts and handles remarkably and is an absolute joy to drive. The car comes with the factory canvas convertible top (with window in very good shape, but not perfect) as well as the somewhat rare matching factory removable hardtop, complete with storage bag and cart. The hardtop also features a rear-window defogger. I absolutely love how the look of this car transforms when the hard top is installed, although I havent driven it in cold weather in more than 10 years. This car has a clean carfax report with no accidents and a clean title. This bmw m is a largely stock example finished in titan silver over black leather. A california car until moving to ct in 2012 at 76-k miles, and the car has just over 85k miles on its 3. 2 liter s52 inline-six, 5-speed manual gearbox, and limited-slip differential. Besides the kenwood aftermarket stereo, this car is purely stock. The car wears original titan silver metallic paint with no rock chips or any blemishes. The black convertible top remains taut with no wear or tear. The dash, door panels, and leather console trim show occasional marking, as does the lighted shift knob and factory thumbgrip wheel with m-sport stitching. Switchgear is intact for hvac controls and buttons for power locks and windows, heated seats, defeatable traction control, and other equipment. Factory chrome-ringed instrumentation includes an m-specific clock, voltmeter, and oil temperature gauges mounted in the center stack. No dead pixels are seen in the digital odometer, which reads just over 85k miles. The are absolutely no warning lights on dashboard. Underhood, the s52 3. 2 liter inline-six is stock and was originally rated at 240 horsepower in us-market trim. The cooling system was serviced in early 2016 and refilled with bmw-branded coolant. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a zf 5-speed manual gearbox and standard limited-slip differential, both of which got new klotz fluids in 2014. The clutch was replaced at 74k miles with an oem unit, and the flywheel was resurfaced at the same time. Wheels are stock bmw m roadster 17" cast alloys and fitted with 225/45zr-17s on the front and 245/40zr-17s on the rear. The tires are almost like brand new. This car is currently stored inside out heated garage and it will only be shown by appointments. These older roasters are only increasing in value and becoming collectable.
