Up for auction is a 1935 austin 12-4 london taxi low loader. This could be the only austin of this model on the united states. This car was used to transport folks from the oxford hotel in denver colorado to the train station for many years. It is very original except for the engine and transmission. It has a buick nail head engine with new carburetor, new battery, and it runs very good. The buick automatic transmission was also used in the transplant and works well. The car has new wide white wall tires on its original wheels. The interior has been redone some time ago, as it would have been, and all the original wood is in very good condition. It has jump seats in the rear compartment, plush rear seat and sliding partition window between the driver and its passengers. The original folding convertible rear top is also in good condition, and works well. The front windshield opens, it has matching interior up front, and it has a working bell punch (london model) taximeter. The body is very original with only a few small dents, and the only rust out is in the trunk under the spar tire well, about 6" round. The body only has surface rust on the trunk, the rest of the paint is its original. This is a very solid car for its age and draws attention. I'm listing this austin for a friend and will take all questions to him. We will help with loading and in anyway we can.
